Dearest,

this month we wish to live our monthly appointment on the 24th, a day dedicated to Mary Help of Christians, with a special intention that is felt by our entire Salesian Family. We invite you to dedicate the Rosary of the 24th for Pope Francis, so that the Lord may accompany him with His Mercy in his return to the House of the Father and our Mother Help of Christians may be at his side as she has done throughout her life of service to the Church.

We also wish to thank the Lord for the immense gift that Pope Francis has been for the Church, for his testimony of humility, mercy, love for the poor and for peace. With a grateful heart, we entrust him to God so that he may contemplate His face in fullness.

In the Catholic tradition there is this motto, this saying: “Ad Iesum per Mariam”, that is, “to Jesus through Mary”. Our Lady shows us Jesus. She opens the doors for us, always! Our Lady is the mother who leads us by the hand to Jesus. Our Lady never points to herself, Our Lady points to Jesus. And this is Marian piety: to Jesus through the hands of Our Lady.”
