On Sunday, February 1, in Valdocco, the monthly formation day took place, organized and led by the ADMA Primary, with the participation of the new Spiritual Animator, Fr. Luis Eugenio Vargas Isaza, as part of the annual journey on “Our faith, the faith of our children.”

The meeting began at 9:30 a.m. with the recitation of Morning Prayer, a moment of community prayer that emphasized the theme of the retreat: “Everything is possible for the one who believes” (Mk 9:23). Faith and Providence.

Following this, the catechesis began, led by Fr. Roberto Carelli, who introduced the theme of “faith that believes in a God who is Providence.”

“God,” Fr. Roberto emphasized, “who has revealed His face in Jesus, is a God who is present and active, who intervenes with His providence, works through His graces, and acts also through miracles. Faith in Providence is the most powerful resource we possess for the salvation and success of our lives, because it makes available to us the gifts of God, who in turn desires nothing more than to live with us in an exchange of gifts. The spiritually delicate point is that, ordinarily, God does everything by making us do everything. For this reason, committing ourselves with all our strength and entrusting ourselves with all our heart must go hand in hand. Faith knows that the Providence of God is present and operative, that it can be invoked, that it listens to us, and that it fulfills our petitions even better than we expect. The power of faith,” Fr. Carelli concluded, “is revealed in the dynamic interplay between God’s generous availability and the necessary dispositions of the human person in the two miraculous healings recounted in the Gospel of Luke (Lk 8:40–56).”

At the end of the catechesis, the speaker offered several educational insights, including suggestions related to the relationship with one’s children, and presented some proposals from the Rector Major on how to recognize and collaborate with God’s Providence.

After the catechesis, time was given for silence, personal prayer, and adoration, followed by a communal lunch. The afternoon resumed with the recitation of the Holy Rosary and, afterwards, a time of sharing during which participants were able to recount their experiences, difficulties, and joys along the journey of faith, recognizing the surprising and powerful re creative action of God, who makes new all things destined for death, who sees and provides with the eye of love and mercy. The rich formation day concluded with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Roberto Carelli.
